Sarah Gordy, Holistic Addiction and Recovery Coach, based in Los Angeles

Registered Addiction Counselor in California

"Addiction is not a choice that anybody makes; it’s not a moral failure. What it actually is: it’s a response to human suffering."

Sarah is a Registered Addiction Counselor in California and recovery coach, currently residing in Los Angeles, where she works in detox and addiction treatment. Rooted in a deep commitment to holistic well-being, Sarah’s approach to helping her clients achieve and maintain sobriety integrates addiction-specific psycho-education, spiritual psychology, and somatic coaching modalities. Currently pursuing her degree in addiction studies, Sarah remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery.

Through her coaching, Sarah creates a nurturing environment where clients can safely explore their truths and express themselves fully, guided by the belief that true healing arises from within. Inspired by the wisdom of Gabor Maté, who famously asked, “Not why the addiction but why the pain?”, Sarah fosters spaces of deep introspection and self-discovery, inviting individuals to delve into the root causes of their struggles and embark on transformative journeys of healing and growth.

Sarah also helps individuals, including moms, and dads who are struggling a bit with their drinking and ready to make some changes in order to reduce their alcohol intake by finding and addressing the underlying drivers.  For some this looks like transitioning from needing a drink every night, to enjoying a drink here and there.  If that sounds too good to be true, reach out for a free consult.
